Migrating Existing Customers to Our Next Generation Hosting Platform

February 16, 2016

Our next generation platform and optimized WordPress hosting plans have just been launched!

We hate price increases so all existing customers are grandfathered in with their current plans and pricing! We’d like to allow everyone to take advantage of our powerful new features so we are planning to migrate all customers to our new platform over the course of the year.

We will be migrating customers server by server, starting with our oldest first. Our staff will contact you to schedule a migration date and at that time we will review your account for compatibility and help you to enable our new features.

This is a manual process and is expected to take much of the year to complete. If you’d like to get moved to our new platform right away, simply contact us at to skip to the front of the line and be added to our priority migration list. All other customers will be contacted by our staff at a later date to schedule their migration.

We’re very excited to share our new platform with you!

Varial Hosting Launches Next Generation Platform & Optimized WordPress Hosting Plans

February 12, 2016

After over a year of development and testing we are very excited to announce that today we have launched our next generation platform and optimized WordPress hosting plans!

So what’s the big fuss about?

The best way to explain our excitement is with numbers.

Yesterday we ran a comparison between our old and new platforms using a benchmarking tool and the results simply blew us away!

To test we installed the latest version of WordPress in new accounts on both our old and new hosting platforms. We then simulated 20 visitors simultaneously loading the default WordPress homepage 50 times for a total of 1,000 pageviews and recorded exactly how long this took.

On our old platform this test took 645.06 seconds which resulted in 1.55 requests per second. This test quickly caused the account to hit its resource usage limits so the speed of the test was restricted by the CPU limit of its hosting plan.

We then conducted this same test on our new platform with server side caching enabled. This test completed in 0.147 seconds resulting in 6808.23 requests per second. CPU usage barely registered during this test.

This test completed 4,388 times faster using our optimized WordPress hosting plans running on our next generation platform!

Pricing for our new hosting plans start at $9.99/month or $99.99/year and are now available at
