PHP 5.6 Upgrade on Weasley Scheduled for July 10, 2016

The developers of PHP have announced their plans to discontinue the 5.5 branch of PHP on Sunday, July 10, 2016.

On this date we will upgrade the default version of PHP on our next generation hosting platform (Weasley server) to PHP’s 5.6 branch.

While most existing PHP code should work without changes under PHP 5.6, information on its new features and compatibility considerations can be found at:

In addition to our default version of PHP, please note that alternate versions of PHP 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6 and 7.0 are available for customers to switch to if your website code requires an older version of PHP or you would like to test your website using the latest versions.
